My thoughts on “Just Manic Enough: Seeking the Perfect Entrepreneur”

Startups are certainly fun to read about but do you really want to work at or start one like this? When stories like these come out the answer to me is NO. It’s that common startup story of working to the bone, being driven, being incessant towards a goal.

I’m all for people following their passion and I believe that folks in these stories may be truly happy and I do have plans of starting another company myself someday (just not services) but to me success requires more than an over the top drive to be number one.

Success is following my passion in all areas of life: family, hobbies, & continual learning and self-improvement. This ride will be over soon enough and 12 hour days won’t help it slow down. Not for me anyway.
